So France, Argentina go out and England scrape through with a solid performance against Nigeria. There have been plenty of shocks in this cup but France going out has to be the highlight. Seeing all those sad gallic faces brought a smile to my face (sorry!) So I went down to the walkabout this morning and it was surprising empty, just about as exciting as the actual game. Lets just hope the wave of good games/ bad games continues so we stuff Denmark on Saturday with a good atmosphere.

Yes! One of the greatest shocks of World Cup football has just taken place. France beaten by Senegal on the opening day of the tournament. All the tourment I faced during my year in France after they beat the world cup on est les champions has been vanquished. I can now travel back to France freely and with some ammunition with this result in mind. England now expects on Sunday morning.

Looking forward to a good weekend ahead the world cup is starting. With Sweden and Argentina as my two teams to win in the work sweepstake, I’ve got something to look forward to – even if England fail in the group of death. Also off to sheffield saturday – Ny Sushi Ski village night should be mental on Saturday, and then back to movement night at Fabric on Monday. I’ve got more into this proper clubbing lark since moving down to London & having more dosh.
